hey bud, I know everyone has their own preference, but what do you prefer for training the HSPU. I've heard of abmats under the head, negatives, pike pushups, bands on the ankles-what do you think is the most effective? (P.S. I can't do HSPU and it sucks) Thanks
Hey Stephen, Andrew may have a different opinion and seems that a lot of poeple do...anyways if possible full range of motion is always best. So I would go with partner asst. HSPU or bands. If thats not possible and you need to use mats then that is fine, but the goal with the mats is to not use them for too long. I got my HSPUs with partner asst. help. Hope that helps and I am sure someone else has something that helped them with their HSPUs.
Juls 15:56 (33 lb thrusters) Tim 18:28, I think, can't remember exactly, too tired!!!!! (95 lb thrusters) PROPS TO MY AWESOME WIFE WHO BEAT ME IN A WOD FOR THE FIRST TIME. THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME THING, IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!! I LOVE YOU JULS!!!
STEPHEN, I AGREE 100% WITH GILLIAN. THE PARTNER ASSIST METHOD SEEMS TO BE WORKING THE BEST FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO JUST NEED A LITTLE HELP COMING OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF A HSPU WHICH I THINK IS THE CATEGORY YOU FALL INTO. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR TRAINING DUDE AND COME INTO TAKEOVER AS SOON AS YOU GET THE CHANCE SO WE CAN WORK ON SOME OF THESE SKILLS.
